Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard
"Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard" is a crazier sequel to "The Hitman's Bodyguard". Patrick Hughes' picture is a sly satire of disgusting extravagance. It's as if a film written by Shane Black 30 years ago has devolved into a corrupt caricature of itself. The story makes no pretense of being plausible or rational. The "relationships" frequently feel as though they've been tossed around in a blender of comic-book absurdity. "Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard" isn't a terrific movie, but it provides a magnificently sleazy yes to the question.
