Legion of Super-Heroes

DC's animated Tomorrowverse follow-up, Legion of Super-Heroes, chronicles Supergirl's quest for self-awareness in the twenty-first century. Sent to train with the Legion, Kara Zor-El must deal with a Dark Circle danger, adolescent rivalries, and a relationship with Brainiac 5. Meg Donnelly is charming, but the movie tries to balance sci-fi mystery and school drama without giving it its all, which makes for a hurried and emotionally shallow narrative. The Legion feels marginalized despite the vibrant animation.
