Knuckles
Sonic's speed is exchanged for humor and soul in the hilarious and unexpectedly touching spin-off Knuckles. Leaning into outrageous comedy and buddy-cop spirit with gusto, the six-part miniseries is anchored by Adam Pally's anarchic charm as Wade Whipple and Idris Elba's steely portrayal as the titular echidna. The unconventional bowling quest, musical hallucinations, and quirky cameos—from Christopher Lloyd to Julian Barratt—keep the momentum going even though Knuckles frequently feels like a sidekick in his own show. Knuckles offer a fun diversion that broadens the Sonic universe with flare and a healthy dose of '80s rock, but it's neither nuanced nor profound.
